Self Evaluation Form

In order to achieve the LOtC Quality Badge, organisations must be committed to providing good quality teaching and learning experiences. They will need to demonstrate that:

  • Learning outside the classroom is understood and valued;
  • Processes are in place to establish and maintain an effective partnership with schools and other groups of young learners;
  • Structures are in place to support and enable effective learning.

The first step in the Quality Badge application process for Route 1 is for providers to complete online the LOtC Quality Badge Self Evaluation Form (SEF) to demonstrate that they have met the Quality Badge quality indicators. To view a downloadable pdf of the SEF, click here.

To find out which route you would need to take to achieve a Quality Badge, go to the How to apply section.

To access the online SEF, log in here then either click on the link to the online SEF in the login message or go to the How to apply section to open it. If you do not have login details, go to the Route 1 pre-registration form.

Use the Self Evaluation Form Guidance notes when completing the SEF, to help you to evaluate your provision against each of the quality indicators.

The Self Evaluation Form will automatically save your data every time you click on the 'next' or 'back' buttons; you can log out and return to the form as many times as is necessary. However, once the registration process is complete you will no longer be able to access your Self Evaluation Form. If you need a hard copy of your answers please print the pages before carrying on to the full registration form.
